I tried wrapping burger meat and veggie stir-fry in rice paper for lunch. It was shockingly good.

Litzpitz and Ronny got jealous and made themselves some too.

I picked up some fajita meat on sale at Kroger for dinner. The steak was chewy.

I stepped into the African art section, saw the words “Sub – saharan Africa” and a plethora of memories from last semester’s world music history class hit me.

Good times.

I didn’t know Winston Churchill was an artist! The museum had several of his works on display.

IMG_20140809_161443255

Including this one, a self-portrait, drawn at a dinner party hosted by one of Churchill’s good friends.

IMG_20140809_161259861

I really liked this hat.

IMG_20140809_155129380

Yum. Look at his/her toes.

IMG_20140809_155303260_HDR

If you look closely, you’ll notice the setting of this picture isn’t Golgotha – it’s Texas.

IMG_20140809_155004893_HDR

Daddy made sure I knew that this painting was worth 10 million dollars.

IMG_20140809_163331795_HDR

The museum store had some equally interesting things to see as well. I had my eyes set on these little wallets for some time, but then decided that today was not to be a splurge day.

IMG_20140809_164831129

The moment when I realized I sat next to this man at a dinner gala.

In all honesty, these codes were much more beautiful to Daddy and me than any artwork we saw today. For the majority of the time we spent at the museum, the two of us would be seen hunched over our phones, furiously typing in these codes, and laughing with childish glee whenever we received a confirmation text saying that we had earned more museum points. My dream is to rack up enough points to earn a sleepover at the museum. A SLEEPOVER AT THE MUSEUM HOW COOL IS THAT.

Made rice paper wraps again – same ingredients as yesterday + scrambled egg.

Snack in the car on the way to the art museum. Mommy gave it to me as a reward for not hanging my dirty laundry on the bathroom doorknob hehe.

IMG_20140809_145718153

Litzpitz’s beautiful blueberry muffins.

Because I am a very responsible adult, I chaperoned a few teenagers around the outlet mall on the last day of tax-free weekend. The craziness at the mall could be likened to the chaos of Black Fridays.

IMG_20140810_145124964

Some of the kiddos got bored really fast so they whipped out a deck of cards and played yusef on the floor. In American Eagle.

We later found a table in the food court and I let them plop themselves down there while the others looked around Adidas. I was a little more okay with them playing cards there than in AE.

6. Run every day. Distance: 5:03 miles. I am too embarrassed to post my time here on the world wide web. It was bad. But it was also one of the most enjoyable runs I’ve had in a long time.

7. Stay out of my room between the hours of 9am -9pm. 🙂

8. Take pictures of every single thing I eat and post it here.

Homegrown peaches and yogurt make the best post-church snack.
