This post will be a lame attempt at recapping the past three weeks.
Captain America: Winter Soldier at the dollar theater and then Starbucks with this cutiepie.
Early morning hiking (8am is soooooper early, ugh!) with most of the VBS Crew Leader team.
Trying to teach them how to do a sorority squat = Gloriously awkward picture
The wind was kind of flirty that day.
Went to school for a piano lesson with the Professor. On my way out of the arts building, I stumbled upon this fabulous work of art.
Sat up in bed one morning, peered at myself in the mirror, and fell in love with Punk-bedhead-hair.
VBS decorating brings out the quirkiness in people.
Subway date with this hottie means that she eats her sandwich while I drink water and watch her eat it (but hey! I only have 13 more days of this cleanse left). Since we hadn’t talked for more than half a year, it was good to catch up on each other’s lives and pray for one another.
VBS 2014 – Weird Animals: Where Jesus’ Love is One-of-a-Kind!
“Smile and show me your cookie!”
“…but i can’t! because if i do, my cookie will fall out ev-er-y-where! I cannot show you my cookie, I cannot!”
Love this kid.
Crew Leaders Appreciation hangout at QQ. We spent the afternoon playing one intense game of Mafia… which I won.
Creeping on the baby brother as he fills up the tank in my Green Booger for the first time!
Broccoli and Beef on the menu again. Every. day. (Hang in there, Aveline. Just thirteen more days!)
One of my favorite things about summer is getting to make late-night runs to the grocery store.
I always feel peaceful and satisfied meandering through super-markets, cracking stupid jokes at one another, and looking at all the beautiful displays and produce arrays. I love these moments because it’s easy for me to be present and in the now since I have nowhere else to be and nothing to think about except what’s in front of me.
Is it too weird to say that I think God speaks to my heart through quiet supermarkets? These late-night grocery runs make me feel perfectly content and comfortable with myself, where I am, and what I’m doing with my life – because He’s got my back.
The clearance section at Kroger is always the bestest because I can always find baby food on sale.
I would have purchased these Graduates but my doctor wants me to avoid green beans for the time being.
